What we collect
We collect only what is necessary for the specific purpose you came for. What a scholarship application needs is not asked of someone making a donation.
- Name, mobile number and village — for contact
- Class, school and results — to check eligibility
- Family income — only for scholarship eligibility
- Last four digits of the bank account — to reconcile payments
- Uploaded documents — marksheets, certificates
About Aadhaar
We do not store the full Aadhaar number anywhere. Only the last four digits are kept so a record can be identified, plus an encrypted fingerprint (hash) so duplicate applications from the same person can be detected. The original number cannot be recovered from that fingerprint.
Who can see it
Not everything is visible to everyone. Each office bearer has separate, defined permissions in the system, and sensitive information is visible to only a few. Every time a sensitive document is opened, a record is made of who opened it and when.
- Income and bank details — only Treasurer and administrators
- Student name and class — teachers and above
- Your own documents — you and your verified guardian
Children’s information
No photograph, name or story of a minor is published on the website, app or social media without recorded, explicit guardian consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time — the content is removed from the website as soon as it is.
What we never do
- We never sell your information
- We never share it with advertisers
- We do not send promotional messages without your consent
- We never make Aadhaar, bank account or income public
Your rights
You may see your information, have it corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Some records — such as donation receipts and scholarship payments — must be retained for legal and audit reasons and cannot be deleted; those too are never made public.
