Who can volunteer
Anyone who agrees with the society’s objectives and is willing to give time. Those under 18 need written guardian consent.
Working with children
Verification is mandatory for every volunteer working directly with children. No volunteer may keep a child’s personal information, photographs or contact details, or share them on social media. This rule is not distrust of anyone — it is a basic safeguard for children.
What we expect from you
- Honour the time you commit — or tell us in good time
- Treat children and families with respect
- Keep the society’s information confidential
- Submit a short report when the work is done
What you can expect from us
- Clear tasks and clear expectations
- Necessary training and guidance
- A record of every hour you give
- A QR-verified certificate on completion
- A safe and respectful environment
Ending service
You may stop volunteering whenever you wish — just let us know so assigned work can be handed over. The society may also end a volunteer’s service immediately for breach of this policy, particularly in matters of child safety.
